An offset lithograph on paper titled Alphabet Letter L after an original work by well listed Russian artist Romain “Erté” di Tirtoff (1892-1990). This Art Deco style print depicts a sightly nude woman in a leopard dress standing with a metal chain wrapped around her body. Attached to the end is a seated leopard with an open snarl. They collectively create the letter “L,” and are placed against a flat black background with the cursive letter found to all four corners. The print is matted in black and presented behind glass in a black wooden frame with a paper backing and metal hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- debris present under frame glass; print appears to be somewhat faded; wear to frame; wrinkling and tears to paper backing.
