A limited edition Op Art serigraph print by Swiss artist Richard Paul Lohse (1902-1988). This mid-century print features a series of graduated red, green, and blue bars of color, stacked and arranged at perpendicular angled, forming the shape of a square. The work is signed and dated 1967 in graphite in the lower right, and hand numbered 15 in an edition of 100. A blind stamp in the lower left associates the print with the collection of Op Art championing gallerist Denise René (1913-2012). It is presented under glass with a silver tone brushed aluminum frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

Richard Paul Lohse was born in Zurich Switzerland and is best known for his representation of the concrete and constructive art movements. Lohse wished to study in Paris but was unable to due to his economic circumstance at the time. He acquired as job with advertising agency Max Dalang, where he trained to become an advertising designer in 1918. By the 1930s Lohse was working as a graphic artist and became a pioneer of modern Swiss graphic design. In his painting from this time he created curved and diagonal composition. Lohse became known for nonrepresentational, systematic, and two-dimensional laminar planes of color.
