Vintage Cream-Colored Silk Kimono With Embroidered Floral Motif
Item Details
A vintage cream-colored silk kimono with an embroidered floral motif. The kimono is decorated with floral embroidery featuring blooming chrysanthemums. The edges of the sleeves are decorated with silver rope and the entire garment is lined with sea foam green silk. A matching waistband is included, likely indicating that the garment was intended to be sold to travelling Westerners. No maker’s mark is present on either item.

- to fair; small staining throughout the work; discoloration and staining to the bottom of the front panel; additional staining to the back; staining tot he neck line.
