Power-Loomed Persian Style Wool Area Rug

A power-loomed Persian-inspired wool area rug. The rug is worked in shades of indigo, sky blue, camel, ivory, sage, ochre, navy, and scarlet. There is a large floral medallion on an ivory field that is partially infilled with more floral motifs. Large palmettes break the inner guard borders which abut the primary floral border. The selvedges are serged and there is applied fringe at each end.
