A Japanese Fukagawa Koransha porcelain plate featuring a variety of pattern motifs. In a segmented swirl, the hand-painted design includes chrysanthemums, geometric patterns, dragons, and other floral motifs. The piece is additionally decorated to the underside. The underside is marked ‘Made by Fukagawa’ (深川製) in blue alongside a red Koransha orchid mark.

Condition

- minor areas of scratching to the glaze; small areas of brown under the glaze, possibly iron stains; small areas of pitting to the glaze; rubbing to the gold-tone paint on the rim and front designs.
