Frances and Delmar Still Life Oil Paintings on Canvas

A set of three oil paintings on canvas, each depicting a modern, stylized still life scene. Featured are two paintings signed ‘Frances’, one depicting a candlestick, bottle and can, and a second similar piece depicting a candlestick, urn and red ball. They are each signed in black marker to the lower right; one is unframed, while the second is presented without glass in a wooden framework with tan woven covering. Also included is a painting signed ‘Delmar’ depicting purple thistles with green stems set in a yellow pitcher. The work is signed in black paint to the lower right and presented unframed. All three pieces include sawtooth hanging hardware to the verso.
Condition
- areas of craquelure and surface wear with media loss scattered throughout all compositions; slight discoloration to paintings and canvases; edge wear to canvases of unframed paintings; discoloration and wear to frame; no backing paper present.
