Wilcox "Ashley" Silver Plate Platter with Other Silver Plate Serveware

An eight-piece assortment of silver plate serveware. Featured is an oval wire bread basket with footed base by Leonard, a round gadroon-rimmed tray with a scalloped inner border by Viking, a round lipped rim tray with soft curves by Oneida, a footed oval cold meat serving platter in the Ashley pattern by Wilcox (a trademark of International Silver Co.), a pair of claw tongs, and a round gallery tray with a pierced rail and two flat pierced handles atop four small ball feet by Crescent. Most of the items bear maker’s marks to the undersides. Also included is a footed lotus bowl and a handled brass-tone bucket, both with ‘Made in India’ stickers.
Condition
- surface wear including scratches and moderate to overall tarnish; the plating on the bucket has worn off.
