A pair of vintage American boxer trading cards. This selection includes 1949 Sugar Ray Robinson ‘Middle Heavyweight’ Ringside Topps #43 card and early 1900s James Corbett black and white mini card with no manufacturer identified. Sugar Ray Robinson was an American professional boxer who competed from 1940 to 1965. Widely considered the greatest pound-for-pound boxer of all time. James Corbett, nicknamed ‘Gentleman Jim,’ defeated John L. Sullivan in 1892. The cards are housed in protective top loaders.

Condition

The Corbett card’s paper stock is thick with a blank back. The Robinson card exhibits staining and soiling with edge and surface age wear. with creasing.
