An engraved print after a painting titled Le Depart de L’Hotelerrie or, ‘The Starting Hotel’ by Dutch painter Pieter van Laer (1599-1642). This intaglio print depicts two horsemen outside of a worn down building, mounting for travel. A woman stands near the open door, bearing a pitcher. The work is presented under glass with an off white mat in a finished frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso, along with a short French language essay on the work.

Condition

Good; mat is slightly discolored, there is foxing to print.
