Item Details
An Indo-Persian style gouache painting on silk of travelers. This painting depicts a party of figures, all of which have colored robes and turbans, as well as tended mustaches. Five men walk attentively near a person trotting on horseback, carrying equipment including a flag and staff, against a darkened landscape. The unsigned composition is contained in a painted ornate border, which is presented under glass in a gold tone wooden frame featuring a cream inner liner with hanging wire to the verso.
