Chinese Wucai Style Bowl

Item Details

A Chinese Wucai style bowl. This bowl is decorated in the Wucai or ‘five color’ style featuring red, blue, yellow, green, and pink enamels. The design includes a central floral bouquet tied with a greed ribbon and trimmed in a round double line border. Outside of the central medallion is a variety of evenly spaced floral medallions trimmed in a blue trim and a band around the rim featuring a floral vine design with a blue double line inner and outer trim. The outside of the bowl is decorated in a similar floral design with blue line boarder. The base of this piece is marked with the Yongzheng reign mark but likely produced during the Republic period spanning from 1912 to 1949.
