Chinese Ceramic Jar
Item Details
A Chinese ceramic jar. The lidded jar has an elongated tapered rectangular form with an angled shoulder and a square narrow opening to the top. It has an applied guardian lion figurine to the lid and monkeys to opposite corners. The body is decorated with blue and red figurative vignettes on a white background along with foliate motif decoration. No visible maker’s marks are present.
