A Chinese Li Tieguai figurine and vase wall hanging. This unique piece features a weathered wooden plaque adorned with a sleeping figurine depicting the Chinese mythological figure Li Tieguai, who people believed would alleviate the suffering of the poor with special medicine held in his gourd. The figurine is accompanied with a small vase to the lower portion of the plaque, and a black Chinese character painted to the upper portion, along with a rope hanger. This figurine is marked with an applied maker’s mark.
