French Engravings and an English Halftone Print

A pair of French engravings with an English halftone print on paper. These pieces include L’Anestesial after C.C. Henderson and Le Billet Doux, both of which are attributed as engravings, and a colored halftone titled The College of Physicians. All three depict well-dressed figures in detailed rooms, L’Anestesial depicting a humorous scene, and include titles and printer’s information to their lower margins. Le Billet Doux is presented in a gold tone frame with a wire for hanging and the accompanying pieces do not seem to include protective coverings.

- varying wear to prints including discoloration and foxing; wear to edges of prints; wear to face and verso of frame.
