Wooden Chest with Mother of Pearl Inlay

Item Details

A small wooden chest with mother of pearl inlay. The hump back chest features metal edging, latch, hinges and corner escutcheons and a mother of pearl inlay design of a bird perched on a cherry tree branch. Black wrought iron handles are attached to the sides of the chest. The chest opens to an unlined interior and has no visible maker’s marks.
