The work depicts a quotation by British politician and essayist Thomas Babington Macaulay that reads, ‘Men are never so likely to settle a question rightly as when they discuss it freely.’ The words are printed in white text against an abstract yellow and black background. The piece is signed in ink to the lower center, appearing to read ‘Covisa’. It is double-matted in black and white and is presented under glass in a silver tone metal frame.

- minor toning to paper and matting; slight scuffs to frame; no hanging hardware.
