Graphite on paper

A pair of graphite drawings on paper of flowers by artist Kimberly Sadler. These two monochromatic works depict sketched renderings of a rose and iris, both of which emerge from a single stem and are rendered with light gradations of value. To the lower right corner of the composition are handwritten artist signatures in graphite, which both appear to be dated ‘11-20-70’ and ‘11-21-70’. The drawings are presented under glass beneath layered matting in brass tone wooden frames with hanging wire and an informational tag to the verso.

Condition

- to fair; some discoloration to paper; minor nicks and wear to frames.
