Item Details
An antique oil painting on canvas of a bucolic landscape by an unknown artist. This painting depicts cattle grazing in a field beside a small body of water underneath a blue sky. The artist has painted loosely, using thick paint in select areas. The painting is unsigned. This piece is presented in a gold-tone and green composite frame with cast embellishments. The verso of this piece is equipped to hang.
Condition
- there is a three inch crack in the painting surface to the left of center. There are several areas of inpainting and evidence of repair on the verso. In addition, there is evidence that some of the cast embellishments on the frame have been repaired.
