A hand-knotted Persian Sarab accent rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of olive green, black, ocher, white, coral-pink, red, and slate blue. The rug features a hexagonal shaped central medallion with sawtooth edges and ‘sergeants’ stripes. The corners are patterned with reciprocal rhomboid shapes and eight pointed stars. It is framed with geometric meander and medahil pattern borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and short fringe to either end. Marked to verso.
