Vintage Crump & Low and Fosters Studio "Gurgling Cod" Jugs
Item Details
A group of Crump & Low and Fosters Studio Gurgling Cod jugs. Each ceramic jug is shaped to resemble a fish and features stylized gills. Includes a larger white fish marked to the base ‘Made in England for Shreve, Crump & Low Company Boston.’ The smaller jug is finished in a deep olive green and marked to the base ‘Fosters Studio Pottery 2 Cornwall England.’ The Gurgling Cod was first introduced in 1964 after a request by Benjamin Dale Shreve and are based on a traditional English model.
