A 1964 original offset lithograph on paper Soviet Russian propaganda poster. The poster, designed by Victor Ivanov (Виктор Иванов) and purported to be published by Moscow publishing house Soviet Artist (Советский художник), depicts men of various ethnicities holding hands The words ‘peace on earth – we defend!’ (мир на земле – отстоим) are printed in bold blue lettering across the upper edge, and the words ‘solidarity – the weapon of victory’ (солидарность – оружие победы) are printed across the lower margin. It is signed and dated within the plate to the lower right. The large poster consists of two panels adhered together vertically in the center. It is presented unframed, awaiting your choice of presentation.
