Antique Junghans Black Forest Style Wall Clock
Item Details
An antique Junghans Black Forest style wall clock. The clock has a burled wood and veneer case with other hardwoods and features an ornate bonnet with a broken pediment and urn style finials on decorative wood corner blocks with shaped wood and an arch accent. The case features ring turned and reeded side poles with acorn finials to the underside and a glass front door. The door displays a beaded brass bezel surrounding a white face with classic black Roman numerals and hands with a beaded brass ring on the center and two key arbors. The clock has a brass bezel showcased by a marquetry wood interior case. Other features of the clock include brass chimes and a key for winding with a hook to the verso for hanging. The clock is marked ‘Junghans’ on the face.
