East African Beaded Jewelry and Accessories

A collection of East African costume beaded jewelry and accessories. Included are a variety of colorful collar style necklaces with long beaded strands and pendants, and a wide beaded bracelet, some with leather backing. The jewelry items are made from brightly colored glass seed beads in a palette of bright green, orange, bright yellow, light blue, dark blue, pink, purple, black and white. Also included is a set of eight matching, glass seed bead buttons, in a pinwheel style, with coral and white colored beads. The buttons are attached to a paper tag, marked ‘Kirotet Crafts – Beadwork Entirely Handmade by Maasai Women in Africa for Studio Arts’ and ‘Nairobi, Kenya’.
