Antique Tiger Oak Buffet

Item Details

A circa 1900 antique buffet or side cabinet unit, in tiger oak (a.k.a. quarter-sawn oak). Some parts are oak veneered, including the top surface, while some are solid. It has a detachable piece to the top with a shelf. The body of the piece features two drawers with wood knobs and dovetail joints, above a cabinet space with double doors, above a lower drawer. The front edges at either side are wavy, ending in rounded feet. Unmarked.

- top veneer starting to peel in a few places; water ring stains to upper shelf; missing mirror; stripe of dark discoloration to top surface; other light to moderate cosmetic wear.
