A set of two late 19th-century etchings on paper. Featured is an etching after listed French artist Alphonse Leroy, created after a portrait of a bearded man by well-listed Dutch artist Rembrandt Van Rijn. It is unsigned but includes artist names in plate to the lower margin. Also featured is a print titled Rue de Panneret a Rouen after the manner of listed French artist Émile Frédéric Nicolle (1830 – 1894). The print is unsigned but titled in plate to the lower left and blind-stamped to the lower margin. The prints are presented unframed.
Condition
- toning, discoloration and foxing to prints; dried adhesive around outside margins of print after Rembrandt; wear to edges and corners; items are unframed.
