Tableware including Antique "Lake" Ashworth Ironstone
Item Details
A selection of porcelain, ironstone, and semi-virteous tableware. The three antique ironstone G. L. Ashworth & Brothers pieces, including a plate and two bowls, display the brown transferware Lake pattern depicting a town by a waterfront with acanthus leaves to the verges. There is an ‘Ashworth’ incised mark to the underside and they were produced between 1868-91. The early 20th century Bawo & Dotter Limoges plate features a pink floral pattern and embossed scrolls to the verge with gilt accents to the ridged edges. It was produced before 1932 and is marked ‘Elite Works Limoges’ to the underside. Also included is a Homer Laughlin Genesee platter, a Tabletops Unlimited Fruttie platter, a vintage Haviland Limoges bowl, an F. W. & Co. Rudyard covered centerpiece, an Edwin M. Knowles vegetable bowl, a Jacson & Gosling Ltd. Grosvenor teacup and saucer, and an H & S teacup and saucer.
Condition
- crazing to Genesee platter; wear to gilding; discoloration and crazing to “Lake” pieces and vegetable bowl; residue to Haviland bowl.
