Vintage Black Forest Mantel Clock
Item Details
A vintage Black Forest mantel clock. The clock has a wood case with a maple finish that features a broken arch pediment with a gold-tone urn finial to the center and sides. The case has four pole style side columns that flank a two-tiered glass door with a bevel edged wood frame and gilded trim on the glass. Other features of the clock include a brass plate with scrollwork spandrels and a silver-tone metal face with classic black Roman numerals and serpentine hands. The hands are displayed on a gold-tone center with a decorative repousse design and three brass key arbors. Other features of the clock include a brass pendulum and chimes, a winding key and the clock stands on a plinth style base with bracket feet. The clock is labeled ‘Black Forest’ on the verso.
