Antique French Louis XV Style Marble Top Dresser with Mirror

Item Details

An antique French Louis XV style marble top chest of drawers with ornate mirror, circa 1900. An asymmetrical foliate carving adorns the scalloped crest of the beveled, tilt framed mirror. It is mounted to a tiered shelf on the gray and brown veined marble top, including beveled edges. A total of five hand-dovetail joinery drawers feature diamond match veneers and brass foliate pulls and keyhole escutcheons. The case rises on acanthus leaf and scroll carved stout cabriole legs joined by a scalloped, scrolled and paneled apron.
