Vintage German Pocket Knives Depicting Famous Figures

Item Details

A pair of vintage pocket knives made in Germany. Included is a knife by Boker’s Cutlery of Germany with an embossed image of George V on one side and Edward Prince of Wales on the other. One blade features the company name and the other carries the Boker tree logo. The second knife is by Hugo Herwig & Co. of Solingen, Germany, and features an image of the Lion of Lucerne monument on one side and William Tell on the other. The Latin motto at the base of the Lion Monument is dedicated ‘To the Loyalty and Bravery of the Swiss,’ memorializing Swiss mercenaries in the French Revolution. Both knives have two blades, with the larger knife measuring approximately 3.25’ long.
