1971 East-West All-Stars "Chief Bender" Presentation Carafe

A 1971 East-West All-Stars ‘Chief Bender’ presentation carafe. This plated silver and green glass carafe features an internal glass chamber for ice and an ornate lid with a fish finial, large scroll handle and pressed fan border. It is engraved ‘East-West All-Stars Riverfront Stadium – Cincinnati Chief Bender June 19 1971’. Sheldon ‘Chief’ Bender was a major scout for the Reds for 39 years. He was in charge of the Reds farm system that produced some of the ‘Big Red Machine’ players and players like Barry Larkin, Eric Davis, and Paul O’Neill.
