Item Details
An antique French Renaissance Revival style buffet in walnut. The piece features a tiered crest rail accented with two acanthus leaf finials over a shelf supported by turned columns and embellished with arched brackets punctuated with acanthus leaf finials. The upper cabinet is finished with a railing attached to recessed panels and resting on the rose marbled top. The lower case features three aligned drawers over three hinged cabinet doors. The drawers share carved egg and dart fronts and hinged brass pulls. The cabinet doors are flanked by turned columns and are embellished with elaborate bas-relief carvings opening to shelved storage. The piece rises up on bun feet. There are no visible maker’s marks.
