Hand Painted Nippon Porcelain Tableware

A forty five piece collection of vintage, hand painted porcelain tableware from Japan. These pieces show a stylized floral design with spontaneous black outline and polychrome enamel detail and light blue banded border. The handles and rims have been gilded. The group is comprised of eight luncheon plates, seven salad plates, eleven bread and butter plates, seven teacups, eight saucers, one creamer, one sugar bowl, one mayonnaise bowl and one ladle. These pieces bear a mark to the underside with a green crown and ‘Hand Painted Nippon,’ dating them to 1891-1921.
