Candlewick Trimmer and Victorian Bank
Item Details
A brass candlewick trimmer and a Victorian bank. mother of pearl to windows of house on bank. The trimmer resembles a pair of scissors with scrolled handles and is marked ‘India 5388’. The cast metal bank features a raised scroll design to the hinged top with coin slot, with a British copper penny mounted to the center. An escutcheon with a circular painted image of Balmoral Castle inserted to the center with mother of pearl inlay to the image’s windows. There are no visible maker’s marks to the bank.
