19th Century Gorham Sterling Silver Tankard and Bucket

A pairing of a Gorham sterling silver tankard and bucket, both circa 19th century. The tankard features a cylindrical form accented with a sloping base, angled handle, and beaded trim. A personalized engraving is set to the center of the cup accented with foliate and geometric patterns. The tankard is marked to the underside with the Gorham maker’s mark and the date mark for 1870. Included with the tankard is a bucket with a twisted bail handle and chased foliate bands accenting the personalized engraving to the center. The underside is marked with Gorham maker’s mark and the date mark for 1872. The total approximate weight is 7.685 ozt.
