Vintage Balance Scales and Weights Set

A pair of vintage balance scales and weights set. The balance scales feature two black pans hanging from brass tone metal chains attached to a brass center beam marked ‘100g’ and ‘Germany’. The pole style piece stands on a round brass base. The weights come in a fitted wood box marked on the lid ‘Eimer and Amend – Laboratory Supplies – New York City – U.S.A.’ Ten weights of various measurements include those marked ‘20G’, ‘10G’, ‘500mg’ and ‘200mg’.

- shows some wear and oxidation consistent with age and use; weights come in original box.
