Antique French Renaissance Revival Walnut Hutch

Item Details

An antique French Renaissance Revival style hutch in walnut. The piece features a tiered, broken pediment over two gothic, glass side cabinets embellished with carved winged griffins and flanked by turned columns and a centered glass cabinet door. The cabinets all open to shelved storage and have cast brass hardware, that opens with the provided keys. The lower cabinet features three aligned, dovetailed drawers over three cabinet doors. The carved and incised drawers are flanked by decorative blocks and draw attention to the center drawer which has a raised veneered panel embellished with a brass swag pull. The lower cabinet doors having elaborate bas-relief carvings are flanked by turned columns and the piece rests on bun feet joined by tiered rail. Companion piece listed under 17PIT061-103. There are no visible maker’s marks.
