A vintage hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, ivory, black, sky blue, rose, teal, taupe, and sand. The cranberry colored lozenge sits on a floral filled ivory field with large coordinating spandrels, and begins with a large star shaped pendant medallion, while featuring palmette, floral, and leaf motifs. Framing the field is a samovar patterned border with a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a skirted ivory warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
