A Medieval brass tomb rubbing of William and Martha Pen. The rubbing represents the pair along with a coat of arms, an inscription and familial groupings. It was taken from a monument to William Pen (died 1638) and his Wife Martha (died 1635). The piece is inscribed ‘Pen Bucks’ and presented unframed. The image is a relief rubbing taken from a commemorative brass plaque found on the tombs of Medieval figures in European churches.

Condition

- foxing; toning; ripped at top; wear around edges; charcoal smudges; adhesive residue; curls up due to being rolled and stored.
