Hand-Knotted Persian Nain Wool Area Rug

A hand-knotted Persian Nain wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, powder blue, indigo, peacock green, sepia, buff, wine, and sky blue. The crisp ivory colored field begins with a round star pendant medallion with coordinating spandrels, and featuring a flower filled vase form at each end, along with a Shah abbasi pattern. Framing the field is a stylized herati patterned main border with two styles of floral meander guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selveges, and an ivory cotton warp fringe to the ends, as well as sewn on vinyl bands to the underside edges. Unlabeled.
