A hand-knotted Caucasian area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of pale coral, ocean blue, golden-tan, marsala, orange-red, cream and brown. It features a hexagonal shaped lozenge patterned with an all over diamond lattice design and sawtooth edges. It is framed with meander guard borders and a main border of Kazak-style zig-zag leaves and rosettes. Finished with overcast selvedges and natural warp fringe to either end.
