A hand-knotted Persian area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of sky blue, cream, gray, burgundy,and midnight blue. The field is patterned with flowers arranged in an ogee lantern shape and it is framed with borders of scrollwork, lancet leaves, and lobbed flowers. It is finished with overcast edges and fringe to either end.
