Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Accent Rugs

Item Details

A grouping of three vintage hand-knotted Persian wool accent rugs. This grouping offers a Hamadan rug rendered in a palette of abrash cranberry, wine, indigo, ivory, rose, clementine, and slate. The abrash cranberry colored field features an all-over lattice pattern of palmette, floral, and leave motifs, while framed in a main leaf and calyx border, and S-motifs to the guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a binding to one end, with a cotton ivory fringe to the other end. There is also a Lilihan style rug rendered in a palette of crimson, ivory, indigo, sage, slate blue, gold, and rose. The crimson colored field begins with a diamond pendant medallion with coordinating spandrels, while featuring an all-over herati pattern throughout. Framing the field is a samovar patterned border with meandering guard borders, and finished with overcast selvedges and an ivory cotton warp fringe to the ends. Lastly is a Mehriban rug rendered in a palette of crimson, ivory, indigo, azure, rose, clementine, and gold. The crimson colored field features a large vase flower filled vase form to each end along with floral sprays and ornate spandrels infilled with scrolling foliate and floral motifs. Framing the field is a main leaf and blossom patterned border, with chained guards, and minor sawtooth borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and ivory warp fringe to the ends.
