Hand-Knotted Northwest Persian Accent Rugs
Item Details
A pairing of hand-knotted northwest Persian accent rugs. Included are a village rug and a Karaja tribal runner. These rugs feature geometric patterns and symbols. The village rug features a crenelated cranberry lozenge and center medallion rendered in navy blue, pink, gold and ocean. The field and spandrels are covered in rectilinear vines, grains and leaves. This rug’s border includes arrows, cruciforms and mirrored flowers. It finishes with overcast selvedges and natural fringe at each end. The Karaja rug features five geometric medallions in a palette of cobolt blue, scarlet, arctic blue, merigold and ivory. The field and medallion are filled with rectilinear vines, grains, and leaves. Its edges are overcast in Indigo and it has natural warp fringe to the ends. Both are unlabeled.
