Antique Eastlake Walnut Framed and Upholstered Chair

An antique Eastlake walnut framed chair. This upholstered side chair features a walnut frame having a carved top rail with a scrolled and incised crest over a raised medallion in an incised frame flanked by carved leaves. The incised and fluted stiles are topped with turned finials and have shaped side brackets. The square back (both sides), arm pads and seat are upholstered in a blue and ivory striped woven fabric with a small floral print and finished with double self-welt trim. The arms are supported by shaped rails topped with rounded, notched and incised handholds. The chair rises on turned front legs over original caster wheels and straight legs to the back.
