A handwoven Persian Kurdish Bijar wool area rug. This vintage rug begins with a center pendant medallion over a stepped lozenge creating a diamond design with sawtooth edges. It features geometric floral designs, boat motifs, tree of life forms, tulips and arrow heads. The color scheme consists of watermelon, denim, ivory, moss green and black. Three resolved borders feature floral meander designs consistent in geometric fashion. The rug finishes with overcast selvedges and short warp fringe to each end. Unlabeled.
