A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of red, coral, slate blue, gray, white, black, and muted olive. This rug features a crenelated cruciform shaped central medallion on a red lozenge patterned with angular flower blossoms. It is framed with running water and fern-like leaf patterned borders. Finished with overcast selvedges and short fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
