A hand-knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of crimson, marigold, sky blue, white, moss green, pink, navy, white, and orange. It has a scalloped diamond shaped medallion on a red lozenge patterned with lancet leaves, curvilinear vines, and palemettes. It is framed by barber pole and herati motif borders. Finished with overcast edges and short fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
