Hand-Knotted Caucasian Carpet Runner

A hand-knotted Caucasian carpet runner. This wool carpet is hand-knotted in a palette of olive green, burgundy, aqua-blue, white, ocher, gray, and black. The field is patterned with alternating cruciform and circular shaped medallions with curled hooked edges. Eight pointed stars, spade motifs, and samovar patterns also dot the field. It has a border of eight pointed stars and guls. Finished with double sewn edges and fringe to either end. Unlabeled.
