A pair of planographic prints, attributed as chromolithograph portraits, of women published by Currier & Ives titled The Morning Star and The Pride of the West. Both pieces depict women with flowers in her carefully-arranged hair, a peaceful expression on her face and a pendant encircling her neck. The prints include titles and publisher’s information toward their lower edges, and are matted in wooden frames with wires for hanging.

Condition

- scratches to frames; paper shows age; accretions and residue throughout.
