A limited edition lithograph on paper fully titled La Mémoire Élémentaire – Birth of the Unexpected #6 by American Modernist artist Alexander Calder (1898-1976). This print features a collection of shapes printed in flat colors. It includes a red starburst exploding from the lower left corner and out into a field of circles and spirals with a large crescent moon, all on an off-white ground. It is signed to the lower left corner and marked to the lower center as number 47 in an edition of 100.

Condition

- discoloration to paper along the top edge due to previous mounting; minor tears to edge of paper; small scratch to top right blue circle; glue and paper residue to verso of paper due to previous mounting; dent to upper right corner of paper.
